British Land’s 2 Finsbury Avenue development has been submitted to City of London for planning approval

Core Five are delighted to have worked closely with British Land in supporting their planning application for the proposed development at 2 Finsbury Avenue.

In line with British Land’s sustainability strategy, the building will target net zero carbon in construction and operation as well as a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ certification, and a number of forward-thinking environmental initiatives will be incorporated. To ensure flexibility for current and future needs, the offices have been co-designed with behavioural scientists from GXN and are interspersed with healthy, green areas and terraces.

An exemplary design team is led by Danish Architects 3XN, along with their sister company GXN (Sustainability), Structural and MEP Engineers, Ramboll, Executive Architect Adamsons and Project Managers Gardiner & Theobald, along with an extensive wider team.

The scheme involves the construction of 2 towers of 24 and 38 stories, joined by a 13 storey central podium, creating predominantly office space, along with retail at Ground Floor and Public Amenity space at Ground to 2nd.

Having worked closely with British Land on the site for a number of years, including the Arup-led scheme that obtained planning permission in 2016, we are very pleased to work with British Land and the design team on this magnificent project and look forwards to its progression.
