Last weekend we held our 2019 Core Five Team Conference in the Spanish city of Valencia. We are currently working in Valencia as cost consultants in joint venture with Castiel, a Spanish practice based in Barcelona and Madrid, on the new Valencia Arena. The 15,000 seat arena, designed by HOK, will be the new home of Valencia Basket whilst also providing a new world class entertainment venue for top artists and events.
During the Conference we discussed our plans for the year ahead, including how to continue to evolve our award winning client-focused service, and we heard details of the work we are doing on the Arena itself and on the benefits of collaboration from Jon Blasby of Castiel. We also managed to find time to sample some of the local culture and to see some stunning Valencian architecture, with the quote ‘how does that stay up?’ being heard on numerous occasions whilst looking at a Santiago Calatrava designed landmark!
Founding Partner Gerard Cook commented: “Our 2019 Conference in Valencia was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together from both our London and Birmingham offices, to thank everyone for what we’ve achieved together as a business over the last seven years, and to look forwards to the future together. We had an absolutely superb time, and despite some very competitive team beach volleyball we all returned safely and are in a great place to look forward to the coming year and the next chapter of our evolution.
