Core Five’s 21 for 21 Project 2 – 90 Long Acre, for Northwood Investors & Platform Development Managers
The 90 Long Acre scheme, for Northwood Investors with Platform development managers, is a reinvention of a Covent Garden landmark. The project involves a major refurbishment and extension of the existing 1980s building to meet the needs of modern office occupiers, whilst substantially improving the public realm at the base. By refurbishing and extending the existing building the scheme provides a much more sustainable approach than an equivalent new build.
The scheme achieved a resolution to grant Planning Permission in 2020 and we are looking forwards to starting on site in 2021.
Did you know? The decision to reuse as much as possible of the existing building means that the new 90 Long Acre scheme has an embodied carbon footprint of under 500 kgCO2e/m2, beneath RIBA and LETI targets for non-domestic buildings.
21 for 21 is Core Five’s series highlighting 21 inspiring projects that we are looking forwards to working on in 2021.
