Core Five’s 21 for 21 Project 7 – Hale Wharf – Lock 17 for Muse Developments and Canal & River Trust
Hale Wharf involves the complete regeneration of brownfield land adjacent to Tottenham Lock and the River Lea. It will provide 505 new residential units across ten buildings, with a mixture of tenures, as well as new commercial space, extensive new public realm and infrastructure.
The project features renewable energy via an existing local District Heating Network, which includes two biomass boilers, fuelled by recycled woodchip. The DHN will provide heating and hot water for the entire development. This has been made possible through the construction of a new c. 75m pedestrian bridge spanning the River Lee Navigation Channel.
We are looking forward to completing the first phase of construction in 2021 and beginning work on the second phase!
