As an Associate in Core Five’s commercial team, I believe that fully understanding the Client’s objectives is a key condition for project success and from which to rigorously and fairly manage the financial and programme aspects of a development to match or exceed these requirements.
I have over 35 years industry experience working in UK and the Caribbean, joining Core Five in 2014. I have significant experience across a number of sectors, most recently cost planning and successfully procuring 1 Broadgate for British Land/ GIC, which is predominantly commercial offices with two retail levels. This project has fundamentally increased my awareness of and contribution to the sustainability credentials and net zero carbon aspirations of this key client and the wider industry.
What attracted you to join Core Five?
I joined Core Five in 2014 when there were approximately 35 people in the practice, most of whom I knew from the previous employer. Core Five offered the potential freedom to escape the clutches of large business micro management by spreadsheet, affording more time to productive team working on the things that mattered most.
What has been the most rewarding project you’ve worked on at Core Five?
The cost planning from day 1 and procurement of 1 Broadgate for British Land culminated in formal contract execution in January 2022 which is a massive milestone for myself and Core Five.
