Completed in 2021, Amory Tower is a 53 storey residential tower located on the Isle of Dogs. It provides a high quality, residential-led, mixed-use development. The project comprised 423 number 1,2 and 3 bed residential apartments, including the provision of integrated on-site affordable homes. The project also provided an extensive new public garden as well as a private club facility on the 16th floor together with gym, swimming pool, and spa at the basement levels.
Key Project Features
- Amory Tower is a great example of how the incorporation of Modern Methods of Construction and project-specific procurement strategies’ can drive success in the project delivery.
- Bathroom pods were utilised for 90% of the units, reducing labour and wet trades on-site during the construction period. This provided notable programme benefits and allowed the contractor to utilise the site area to maximum capacity for all other trades as well as a reduction of risk and labour on-site and better quality assurance through the efficiency in the off-site snagging strategy.

- Amory Tower is a large development that encompasses challenges such as the managing and administration of a number of individual Contracts. These include separate contracts for the demolition of the existing buildings, service diversion works, enabling piling works, a facade pre-construction services agreement, a main contract pre-construction services agreement and the main contract itself.
