As an Associate Partner in Core Five’s Employer’s Agent team, I believe that it is key to build strong relationships with the Client, design team and contractor within the early stages of our involvement in any project.
Through establishing open and honest communication, we can align the project goals to achieve best value and successful delivery of a project.
I am a team player with a positive attitude and pride myself on an empathetic approach to the challenges all project team members face. I enjoy applying my skills to the challenges of practically addressing the issues we face on projects whilst continuing to meet the Client’s key objectives.
I joined Core Five in 2018. I have over 10 years of industry experience in both contracting and consultancy environments in the Northwest, Midlands and London. During this time, I’ve worked as both Employer’s Agent and Cost Manager.
What is the most rewarding part of your role at Core Five?
No two days are the same, I tackle whatever comes through via email or call that morning and it could change your plan for the day or week completely! It’s something I love and hate, but mostly something that continues to challenge me and keeps things interesting. I’m also a real people person and I appreciate the wide variety of people I get to communicate with on a daily basis. I think it’s really important to value how everyone at different levels of the project team and hierarchy contribute to the project in a different way, and to appreciate what they do.
What is your favourite building and why?
Not a favourite (you can’t have just one surely) but the last building that really made me think WOW was the Duomo de Firenze (in Florence, Italy). Appreciating the effort that goes into a project from conception to completion, and then considering how this would have been managed hundreds of years ago… to build something that amazing really made me appreciate it all the more.
