As an Associate Partner in Core Five’s Employer’s Agent team, I believe stakeholder engagement and management play a key part in project success, particularly in creating positive relationships through the appropriate management of expectations and agreed objectives. I act as the day-to-day project lead with the responsibility of administering the contract and the management of the project team, programme, cost, and quality against key Client objectives.
I joined Core Five in 2018 and have over 10 years industry experience, working for the likes of Almacantar, Lodha, and Pan Pacific. I have extensive experience in creative and analytical problem solving with a history of managing multiple construction contracts and interactions with project teams to support a successful outcome.
What attracted you to join Core Five?
Having worked at very large companies and feeling like I am just a number, I was getting to a point where I felt like me and my efforts are not really making a difference. I therefore embarked on the search for a smaller company that has a sense a community that would give me the chance to contribute, recognise my efforts and develop a range of skills that I may not have had a chance to learn otherwise. I found that in Core Five, when I walked in for my first interview, the large screen in front of me read “Presentation for Miss Theresia Mahindi”, the whole setting was tailored to me as an individual.
What is the most rewarding part of your role at Core Five?
The most rewarding aspects of my job are; 1.Providing the highest level of services to my Clients and gaining their trust as a business partner/advisor and; 2. Making a positive impact on local communities. Economic strength is tied to the construction industry. Not many professionals have the opportunity to point outside their window and say “I built that.”
