A significant milestone reached for Derwent London’s 50 Baker Street, with Multiplex appointed as main contractor.

Located in the heart of London’s West End, the new-build commercial-led mixed-use development, for which we’re providing Cost Consultancy services, will offer high-quality office, residential and retail space, whilst embracing an innovative approach to sustainability. A key feature of the scheme is the utilisation of the PRECS (Piecewise Reuse of Extracted Concrete in new Structures) approach, where around 2,000m³ of structural concrete will be recovered from the existing building and incorporated into the new development, lowering both embodied carbon and waste.

This appointment marks an important milestone for the project, we look forward to working with Multiplex once again and to continuing our collaboration with Derwent and the wider project team as the scheme progresses.
