We are thrilled to announce that over 60 of our team have reached their 5 year anniversary of working with Core Five! That we have so many reaching, and passing, their five-year milestone is testament to what we are trying to achieve at Core Five; a forward-thinking firm that is as much a family as it is a business. We are proud of the commitment and dedication shown by all of our team as they develop their careers with us.
We are also delighted to share that our longest-serving member of the team Christina Smith, celebrates and reflects on her 10 year career at Core Five. Here’s what she had to say…
During my time at Core Five, I’ve had the privilege of learning many new skills in my support role, particularly as we started out. Joining a brand new start-up, with very few resources, meant quickly upskilling in book keeping, office management, IT, HR and even a bit of CADMeasure.
What is your fondest memory?
It was not long after we started when Barry, Chris, Gerard, James, Steve and I were in the basement of 5 La Gare, no doubt filled with adrenalin and excitement, crying with laughter. I can’t even remember why now, but it was obviously hilarious and the moment sticks with me.
What has changed during your time at Core Five?
Growing from 6 to over 150 in the 10 years I’ve been at Core Five, there have been many changes, most notably headcount. No longer can I remember everything about everyone!
What do you think the future looks like for Core Five?
I’m not a business planner, but I do know that Core Five is focused on developing the team to their full potential and getting all involved in strategy, enabling the next generation to steer Core Five onwards, independently, with steady growth for many years to come.
How will you celebrate receiving the long service award?
Renting a villa on the Amalfi Coast with my family.
What advice would you give to anyone starting a career with Core Five?
Get involved and make the most of the opportunities Core Five has to offer!
We are honoured to have you as part of the team, Christina. Here’s to the next 10 years!
