The Institute of Physics supports cutting-edge research, entrpreneurship and new start-ups as well as hosting lectures and offering community outreach programmes to schools with aims such as promoting physics to girls. The construction of the new headquarters, which provides 17,000sqft of office, auditorium and exhibition gallery space, was not only designed for large-scale functions and to serve the interests of its 50,000 members as well as the public, but was also a major step in enabling their strategic vision.
