Our market-leading APC development programme, Core Foundations, provides you with first-class practical training from top industry professionals. We’ll guide your progression through to becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and help lay the foundations you need to develop a successful career within the built environment.

Through our Core Foundations, you will:

  • Complete your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)
  • Become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

Careers/Graduate

Join our Core Foundations development programme and start your journey to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.

Core Foundations is chaired by Howard Spurgin (FRICS), who is actively involved with RICS, both as an APC assessor and auditor of the final assessment process.

With access to Howard’s expertise, you’ll receive world-class support through practical APC training, giving you the crucial experience required for RICS membership.

Your APC training will also be supported by recently qualified proactive supervisors, who will draw upon their experience of the process to deliver authentic tutelage from start to finish.

We place APC success at the heart of career progression, with regular graduate forums, CPD sessions, and reviews helping to bolster your experience as part of Core Foundations.

Want to apply?

To apply for our graduate programme, you will need to have achieved, or have been predicted to achieve, a minimum 2:1 classification in your undergraduate degree.

We also welcome non-cognate graduates to apply. In this case, you will be required to complete a further postgraduate degree at a university of your choice, with sponsorship provided by Core Five.

Applications should be made in the November of your final year.

If successful, you’ll be invited to complete both an interview and competency-based assessment, with starting dates ranging from February through to October.
