Whilst it only seems like yesterday since we opened our Core Five Birmingham office, we have just celebrated our official 3rd birthday! Having opened its doors in March, Matt and James now have a team of ten working out of the wonderful Assay Studios in the Jewellery Quarter. In that time, the team have grown from strength to strength, and whilst the past 3 years have come with a few clear challenges, we’re proud to have celebrated APC passes, promotions, weddings and even a new arrival (Congrats Sam and Andy).

In addition to the development of a great team we have forged strong relationships with the local design community through sponsorship of key industry events, active contribution to committees, charity activities as well as publishing joint research papers. We are also supporting the development of local talent through apprenticeships and delivering lectures to local students.

Our key aim from the very beginning in developing our Birmingham office was to continue to offer great services to great clients in regional cities, to “be the best at what we do, wherever we do it”. We are therefore really pleased to have been able to build on existing relationships with St Joseph, Present Made, Bankfoot, and X + Why, whilst also developing new relationships with Cordia Blackswan, Rainier, Coventry University, and Jaguar Land Rover.

It has been an amazing journey so far and we are looking forward to where the next few years take us. Birmingham is an amazing city with a bright future and fantastic ambition. We are building a great team with the same mindset to help the city and the region deliver on it.
